So, it’s difficult to find someone you like who will be there the next time you want to book an appointment. Similar to my above comments about Face To Face Spa, turnover at the various franchise locations I’ve been to is a bit higher than day spas or upper-end massage locations. Based on my experiences over the past several years, franchises of massage locations are very hit or miss. I received a gift card to Massage Envy a couple years ago and tried out the Steiner Ranch location. But, I am a bit picky about massages, especially when I pay a ton of money for them. Walk up behind me and massage my shoulders for 30 seconds and you are instantly my best friend. Massages have always been my preferred way of really pampering myself. My favorite technician, Dean, moved to the Lakeway location so request him if you’re heading that direction to get pampered. The nearest locations are either in Lakeway or Cedar Park. *UPDATE: The Steiner Ranch Location closed in December 2017.

I do have to admit, though, I feel like my skin is refreshed and ready for the crazy Texas weather every time I leave. I loved 3 of them and I thought the others were satisfactory but not great. So, over the length of my membership I had services with probably 5 different providers. However, my complaint with the spa is that each time I found a technician I really liked, they weren’t there the next time I tried to book a service with them. I recommend Face To Face Spa for anyone who wants a reasonably-priced, regular facial. I continued the membership for about 8 months before cancelling it. So much so that I ended up signing up for a membership which allowed me to get significantly discounted facials on a monthly basis. I booked a facial and was highly impressed with the spa’s relaxing environment and quality of the facial. The closest location to Austin’s Four Points Area is the Davenport Village location.Ībout a year ago, I won a gift certificate to Face To Face Spa at the Partnerships for Children silent auction. La Vie ensures you have the ultimate “me time.” 🙂įace To Face Spa specifically focuses on skin health and beauty. When I was there in December they had on Home Alone and when I came back in January I watched The Devil Wears Prada. Plus, they always have movies playing on the big screens. I’ve already been twice since they opened and I was extremely pleased both times. The owner, Lisa, moved from a nearby nail salon (that I didn’t love), but she has a large following already of previous clients that love her. The prices are a bit higher (the comparable pedicure to Avenue’s Delux Pedicure is $40), but I don’t mind spending $2 to avoid 2222 traffic. Similar to Avenue Nails, everything is very clean and the technicians are very meticulous. This brand new nail spa is absolutely stunning. The location is perfect for me as it is right at the front of River Place (yay for avoiding 2222 traffic during busy times). La Vie opened in December 2017 and it quickly was added to this list. Overall, I highly recommend Avenue Nails & Spa! I’ve never noticed any smell from it (and I enjoy watching the beautiful fish). They are very meticulous in how they manage this salon! A friend of mine recently went, though, and said the smell of the aquarium bothered her. More than anything, I love that the salon is always spotless. I wish you could directly book an appointment. You end up sending them a message and they respond to you about the appointment. However, you really can’t automatically do so. On the website, it looks like you can book an appointment. I haven’t brought my daughter with me, but I’ve heard they’re great with children too.
This is such a great price compared to other nail salons in our area which I’ve found typically charge around $50 for a similar level of service. On their website, it shows up as $40, but as I write this I’m pretty confident it’s only $38 in the store. This includes an extended massage, extra exfoliation, and hot stone massage. The salon itself is always super-clean and they always have plenty of staff on hand to get me in even if I show up without a reservation (which is what typically happens). It’s located in the brand new shopping center west of the Jester entrance (next to Coffee Shark). Hands down, Avenue Nails & Spa is my absolute favorite place to get my nails done.
